When I have my AB 503 on line with DF1 it will time out befor a minute . I can log onto a different PLC and will not have this problem . Are there any settings in the 503 to correct this problem?

It would help if we knew the method of connection in the case of the problem PLC and any others used for comparison. Fully 90% of interface/intercommunication problems are wiring related . . . I'd start by making sure the physical connections are in accordance with specs, done properly, etc. Also, you don't mention if this is a new problem with an old system (that once worked fine) or just what is the situation.

I had switched computers and can't recall if it worked at first or not. it is hooked up to a com port with a DF1 connection , I can do a tag moniter with no problem and hook it up to a different plc with no problem , so it is not my cable or connection .
