This has been driving me crazy!

I am using a 5000 series Cognex cvision camera to read a barcode and all I want to do is transfer the barcode value directly to a string file in a AB Micrologix 1400 PLC via ethernet.

I have attached the MSG instruction

I get some sort of data in the PLC string, but it's mostly "/00" and numbers that don't match. (See attached picture)

I am am not sure if I need to attach carriage returns to the string in the camera or what?

I have had success transfering integers, but moving this string is giving me problems. I have read help files and even worked with Cognex Tech support.

Any help or samples would be great

Thanks

I have sample from a ML1100, not a string though..

I dunno if that is what you want or not. The original Cognex JOB file is there as well as the MSG READ block. But I am not reading a STRING, I am reading a FLOAT. But I dunno if that helps or not.
