If this is a new NT2 application I suggest you download NTXS 1.04 software at Omron247.com. The old NT2S 1.3c software is really buggy. Download NTxS v.1.04.zip (41 MB)
The software also includes the latest firmware for NT2S which you can download to the terminal.
If you install NTXS you will find a users manual in the start menu programs folder.
The NT2S-SF123 model is powered from the CP1L serial port (I asume you have the option board installed). The cable you need is on page 178 of the manual.

Not sure what you mean here... can you explain? Of course the serial settings in the NT2 terminal need to match those of the CP1L serial port...

Hi,
SF123 does not need programming.
set port up (cif01) as default hostlink and connect NT2SCN242V1 cable and you are in bussines.
be aware if you create your own cable that the power leads do not cause a voltage drop (high resistance of wires)

MPM

Post a screenshot of the CP1L serial port setup in CX-Programmer and the NT3 serial port setup in NTXS.

My panel is not a NT3 panel but a NT2S-SF123B-EV2 panel, this is a non-programable plc controlled panel.
This is my current CP1L serial port setup

My bad, missed the part where you mentioned the actual NT model..
This model has a totally different pin designation as the above diagram!!
See attached for pin designation. I only have a cable diagram for the peripheral port, you should be able to modify it to connect to the RS232 port but I am not 100% sure this will work...
What are you going to use this NT2 terminal for? I would at least take a model that is programmable with NTXS...
Check this article from MyOmron.com: Getting Started With NT2S-SF123B-E

Hi Kenneth,
Do not use this as it is not supported.
Cp1L CIF01 has no cmos level drivers and these (CMOS) are the only ones implemented in the Nt2S-SF123BEV2.
your connection is a lucky shot but bound to go wrong.
please use SF122.

MPM
