Hello,

Does anyone have a pinout for a programming cable from a PC RS232 port or Ethernet Card to an SLC500? Or does such an animal exist?

Thanks for any help.

Depends on the SLC/500 model you want to use.

SLC-500, 5/01, 5/02 didn't support RS232 so you need a PIC or UIC to work with their DH-485 interface (looks like a Ethernet connection but its not).

SLC-5/03, 5/04, 5/05 support RS232 and you need a null-modem cable ( pins 2 & 3 swapped, pin 5 for common)

the SLC-5/05 supports Ethernet and the normal rules apply.
