HMI Brainchild and S7-300

7 posts in this topic

Hi all. I'm trying connecting a Brainchild HMI1050 with Siemens S7-300 using MPI protocol. I have 2 serial connectors in the HMI: 1 DB25 (RS485, pins 12 and 13) and 1 DB9 (RS232, pins 2 and 3). I have the same answer: PLC no response. Please, someone can help me or indicate some tutorial? Thanks by the help and best regards.

Hello, #1 I do not see a ground pin. #2 Which serial to MPI convertor are you using?

Hello, You did not answer #2. You need a serial to MPI convertor.

Thank you. I thought they were just simple connections like I posted (answer #1). I will buy a new Siemens cable. Best regards Edited by stgpereira
