Leased lines

1 post in this topic

I want to share about P2P line connection story. In 1970 leased line became digital with the transformation of the Bell backbone network from analog to digital circuits. Mainframe computers were used to connect by leased line in 1974-1975. In 1980s leased lines were used to link customer premises to Frame Relay or ATM networks. In 1990 it is also used to link customer premises to ISP point of Presence. Private networks, private telephone networks can be built by leased line. It can be also used to access the internet or a partner network. If you want to extend network capabilities across sites then you should terminate a leased line with two routers. what do you think more about it ?
