How to Communicate Omron PLC with Keyence

4 posts in this topic

To all PLC Expert. Hi all, We are recently facing Ethernet cable is not connected. We have Keyence CV-X 3001 connect to Omron CPU43-V1. With Keyence IP address 192.168.0.2 (see attached) My Question is 1. How do I get from Keyence IP address to communicate with Omron (setting)? 2. May I know default IP for Keyence CV-X 3001 and Omron CPU43_V1? 3. How do I Reset Keyence and Omron into default setting? Thank you for your help. Kind Regards Steve

Make sure the first 3 segments of the IP address match in both devices.

You should post questions about Omron in the Omron forum for more people to see. That being said, default IP on the CJ family is 192.168.250.1. To change it, you need CX-Programmer. I've got no experience with the Keyence someone else will have to help you with that.

The CV-3000 default IP address should be in the manual under the Communications & I/O section, Ethernet (TCP/IP) settings. At least it is for the XG and CV-5000 series. For reference the XG is 192.168.0.10 and the CV-5000 is 192.168.0.20. I don't have the manual for the CV-3000. The CPU43 indicates you have a C200H or CQM1 series PLC. You will NOT be able to use Ethernet/IP or the Keyence PLC Link. The PLC Link has settings for the Omron CS/CJ or CP series only. These would be the easiest options. You can use the Keyence Command Codes. This is the more complicated method. Edited by IO_Rack
