fanuc borot cycle time problem

3 posts in this topic

Hi I have a problem with fanuc robots. We have three fanuc robots (LR Mate 200i C, controller is R-30iA Mate)working in an assembly line. The robots pick and place parts. All three robots connected with SLC 5/05 with enthnet through an enthnet switch. Two robots do same job and the programms of two are same. Now the problem is that the cycle time of one robot is very long sometime. Lets say the normal time around 15s , but sometime the cycle time of the slow one is up to 33s. I check the system setup of two robots, everthoing is same. The connecting cables are same. I can not see anything different between two robots. Does anybody experenced this kind thing before or has any ideal on this kind issure? Thanks

See this type of thing a lot, where two "identical" systems run differently. The reason is almost always in sensors that are enabled at different rates or have mechanical issues. Or communication errors that are being hidden or just ignored.

But what is taking long? A delay between moves? Slower moves? A longer delay waiting for an input? More information will help here.
