Display Screen Error

6 posts in this topic

Hello, I am having problems with a F940WGOT. I installed my program on it, but I get a display screen error - no 0! I've looked in the manuals and didn't see anything on this error statement. The error comes up when I first turn the HMI on or when I change screens. This HMI is hooked up to a Omron CQM1 now and is going to be hooked up to a CQM1H. Any help would really be appreciated. Sounds like your program does not have a screen 0, which it is being told to display from the PLC registers. make sure the the PLC registers which store the currently displayed screen number contain a number that is a valid screen number.

Hi Crossbow, Got busy yesterday and had to put my project on hold. Found the answer to my problem by searching through screens. If you go to Common Settings, then System Environment, then Screen Switching and change Base Screen from DM0 to DM1 the it will stop looking for Screen 0. Thanks for reply, Flemming007

All depends on the value in the register DM0 or DM1. The number of the displayed screen should be written to that register.

Hello All, I have a question that is similiar related to this topic: In the System Environment/Screen Switching diplay, what is the difference between BIN switching device data type vesus BCD switching device data type under settings and in what scenario would you use one vesus the other?

The difference is how the data is encoded in the register. If you have a BCD value, it stores 0-9999 but it stores it effectively in hex. If you have BIN, it's standard binary format.
