Hi, For one of my automation project with rubber industry, we are interfacing siemens Step7-300 PLC with FEIG make OBID RFID scanners through Step 7 ASCII/Rs232 module. Hence we require standard siemens PLC logic diagram which can be used to interface with OBID RFID reader. We would be helpful, if anybody can extend support in this regards. Dear Friends, Iam working on Oil Refinery project for which we have proposed the Control Logix L61Processor redundant system. Here the main thing is that we are doing redundancy switchover with 1756-DNB module instead of SRM module. The IO's and SCADA are in Ethernet communication through ENBT module in each rack. Let me clearly explain you the system configuration, Rack 1 Slot 0 -Clx - L61 Slot 1 - 1756-ENBT Slot 2 - DNB Slot 3 - Empty Rack 2 Slot 0 -Clx - L61 Slot 1 - 1756-ENBT Slot 2 - DNB Slot 3 - Empty Both the DNB's are connected through devicenet network. If you require more detail, let me know the same. Is anybody worked on similar system, please come forward. Thanking you in advance.

Hi Friends, Has anybody got any experience with developing or utilising an algorithm for calculating a flow-rate of powder material, based upon Loss-in-Weight from a weight transmitter. The amount loss of weight rate at the specified time will be PV to my PID block. The Flow-rate would be used as PV for a PID Loop within a L61, whose SP would be a manually entered value and the OP would be a 4-20mA output to an Screw Feeder VFD. Is there any special readymade instruction available in Rslogix 5000 Ver17 which could help me in this concern. Or anybody has got any programs which has worked in this application can forward me at tej_sjce@yahoo.co.in Is there any parameter that i can use with PID to get this done. Dear Friends, In one of my project with process control industry, Iam using CLX Processor L61, ENBT module and DNB module in A4 rack. The same said modules are also available in Rack 2 i.e secondary A4 rack. The second rack is introduces for the purpose of redundancy system. The IO's and SCADA are in Ethernet module with Ethernet adapters in RIO panels. Here my question is that any sample code is available to achieve the redundancy with 1756-DNB module. Any clarifcations required, let me know to explain you better. Thanking you in advance.

Friends, In one of my project with devicenet network in MCC room , I want to know the exact clearance space required between the devicenet communication cable(Thick Cable) and Motor Power Cable. I have searched in devicenet related catalogs, but couldnt get the information. If any body could help me on this, then it will be highly appreciated. Regards, TEJ

Please anybody explain how to estimate the memory requirement so that i can change the processor in early stage itself??????? Can anybody explain me detail with examples???? Hi Guys, I'm doing a project with SLC Redundancy system, where 36 RIO modules were used. Since the Complementry mode cannot be used with ASB's (No. of Input & Output modules were not same), so i've no other options and yes 2 BSN's. Is anybody worked with this configuration please help me on how to configure the BSN module. And how to use the M files of the second BSN. Rockwell Manuals also not provide enough details in this mode. Also I'[m going to place another Modbus module in the redundant chassis (i think it is 1747-BAS) for Compressor data communication. Is anybody worked on this?? Is there any sample code available for the Modbus communications?? Thanx in Advance

In one of my project, Iam using SLC5/04 with BSN in 4 slot rack. Similar rack is also there for secondary system. In RIO rack there are 10 Nos of IB 16 and 7 nos of OB16 and 1 no of NI16I (16 channel analog input module). Here iam using 1 slot addressing in ASB. My question is how to write coding in BTR and BTW for reading data from analog input module 1746-NI16I. Is there any special considerations to be considered for this?? I have searched all the catalogs, but couldnt get the required information. Can anybody give me the solution for this..

How to read data in SLC5/04 PLC with BSN moduel and the remote rack is ASB with 1746-BAS module. Please Explain.... Iam using 1 slot addressing for this???? Is there any standard coding in Rs500 for this??

Dear BOB, As you said, the redundancy program is developed with GSV, SSV and MSG instructions. But both processor will have a unique node ID and i wonder how they can be communicated in Panel View 1500 plusin controlnet communication. Regards TEJ
