  1. Wonderware BindList on different tables

Ok so binding is usually a method of getting information on the fly, instead of quering your database everytime you want to retrieve data the binding will retrieve whatever you bind and store it in your cache so that you don't have to constantly wait for database retrieval. If the binding has the correct settings and the data provides the proper notifications, then, when the data changes its value, the elements that are bound to the data reflect changes automatically. Data binding can also mean that if an outer representation of the data in an element changes, then the underlying data can be automatically updated to reflect the change. For example, if the user edits the value in a TextBox element, the underlying data value is automatically updated to reflect that change. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms752347.aspx The other entries should be on your database still rafaelmankilla http://www.hmisoftware.org
  2. HMI Specifications

Are you looking for an HMI? Are you trying to reverse engineer an HMI program? Here are some HMI's you can look at if you were shopping it has a training manual that includes all the specs you are asking for. rafaelmankilla http://www.lcdtouchscreen.org
  3. Hart communicator via USb to Serial converter

Hey Mike, I have run into several problems with RS232 to USB converters but found this really good one at www.coolgear.com, i asked and called why there's works and others don't he simply said we use better chips. Sorry not to many specifics as to why it works but it does work. rafaelmankilla http://www.industrialdisplay.org
  4. search: HMI of any brand

I just finished a project that required me to send ASCII text to a servo drive and I used the Kinco E-View provided by Anaheim Automation and it worked great. When we reached approximately 98% of completing the project when requirements changed so we had to use a different controller also offered by Anaheim Automation, once again we were sending ASCII characters to this new controller and once again it worked beautifullly. It is as easy as just making sure both the HMI's communication parameters and the controllers communication parameters are in sync. Here is a link to the HMI's provided by Anaheim Automation, hope this works. rafaelmankilla Link to HMI you need
  5. I would suggest eliminating all the hand shaking pins just have 3,4 and 5 if you are using an RS232. For some reason my controller does not receive text if all the other pins are present. rafae lmankilla My link
  6. PLC Beginner

I am fairly new to the HMI and PLC scene as well but i find that the more i read on the specific controller or component that i am trying to use the better of i am. I know this can be a pain but like someone else responded to you "Be prepared to dive into manuals". Good luck and maybe you would like to check out HMI/PLC Combo's. I have posted a link to the HMI's that i currently work with. www.operatorinterface.org Thanks Ralph
  7. EV5000

Hello, Has anyone ever worked with kinco brand HMI's and if so could you explain to me a little about their EV5000 configuration software? Thank you, Rafael Mancilla http://www.anaheimautomation.com/products/hmi/color-display-item.php?sID=348&pt=i&tID=998&cID=414
