  1. Hello We recently did a video on our top 10 preventative maintenance tips for variable speed drives (check out the link if you want to see it) and had some excellent feedback from customers. Most of them had never considered including inverters in their PM plans and only really included mechanical parts. It was only larger blue chip companies who actually did any kind of PM on drives. I was wonder if this was true for other companies based outside the UK? Please feel free to suggest anything we might have missed in our top ten tips.
  2. inputs card falure

    Did you resolve this problem?
  3. inputs card falure

Sounds like it might be overvoltage. Might be double checking if your signal cables are running close to your power cables. Can you post a copy of your wiring diagrams and I will see if I can see anything a miss? If you were in the UK I would suggest dropping off the input module for a quick check in our rig. Should be a few companies in the USA who would be able to help you out.
  4. Hi I am looking to purchase Control Techniques Unidrives or Digitax DBE servo drives. If anyone has any surplus drives that they would like to sell please drop me a PM or visit my website
  5. Allen Bradley PLC 5

We purchase automation industrial automation parts but to be honest the bottom has dropped out of the PLC-5 market so your not going to make a fortune. The only problem is we are based in the UK :( . Maybe you could try Sterling Services, Classic Automation or Santa Clara Automation. I am sure one of those people would give you a price.
  6. Check that you have no other software running which ties up your comms port, if a background program is running like RSLinx it is constantly polling the comms port for connected devices which makes it unavailable for other programs, you will then get errors like no comms port or device unavailable or configured incorrectly.
  7. Anyone used Scantime.co.uk?

Never come across them to be honest but the site/content looks OK. Over the past few years we have taken on a few apprentices and always send them to Peter Wright at Engineering Training Solution. Intacs are also a very good company who are based down south. I would recommend them both.
  8. E200 HMI

LOL . I should stop skim reading the thread. At least he can find comfort in the fact he is in Mauritius with a faulty E200 and not West Yorkshire.
  9. E200 HMI

Sounds like your have a faulty unit. At a guess it might be leaky caps. If you're interested we are based just over the Pennines in sunny Blackburn and offer a fixed price repair on the Beijer/Mitsubishi E200. Check out the website for a price. I also have some stock of refurbished e200s coming in next week. Alternatively you could replace the faulty e200 with the new E1022. It is pretty straight forward to convert your e200 program to run on the E1022. You will also need an adapter plate as the E1022 is a slightly different size to the E200. If you want the repair we can get the unit picked up for free next week.
  10. Q2AS CPU

Not sure if you have already sorted this but we sell a replacement for the Mitsubishi SC-09 cable. The UK list price on the official cable is £220, so at £33 our cable offers a decent saving.
