There is no way to bypass the code protection on ControlLogix add-on instructions. Your only option is to get the password from the person who created it.

Even if it were possible, nobody here is going to give you such a tool. Contact the vendor of the AOI, or Rockwell.

You could use a supercomputer to mount a brute-force decryption attack, but there is no back-door utility or method to bypass the security features of an Add-On Instruction. While developing the security features for Logix 5000, Rockwell was very mindful of how much trouble backdoor passwords caused for Siemens. RA also had the experience of the widely-distributed password crack for the legacy PLC and SLC controllers. So there is no utility, internal or external, to circumvent the security of an AOI.

The answer is unaffected by emoticons or by repetition. The whole point of AOI's is that the logic is supposed to remain unchanged. And the whole point of security features is that they cannot be bypassed by persons who are not authorized to use them.

The only 'hacks' in this case are to deal with the person/company responsible for the password OR write your own AOI.

If this is genuinely your approach to solving problems, "Cali", you need to be in a different business.

Passwords or other obstacles in software are placed for a reason. They are not placed as a challenge for a 'hack'. The only acceptable actions in this case are those that I noted in post #10. Being a student or a 'new member' does not absolve an attempt to work around a password (or requirement for a license for example.)
