Remote I/O

Hi everyone,just after some advice on which way to go for remote I/O. Using Omron plc's.Should I use componet or ethernet.Some equipment/devices are 250 m away from plc.Is that a problem? Any advice would be appreciated.

I would use CompoNet as I always do. 2 wire comms and it just works. CompoNet will go 750m I believe but the cable needs to be good and you may have to slow the comms rate down. Unfortunately comms cables usually get run with power cable and slowing the rate down helps. Use a heavy cable for long distance such as 0.75sq mm or the like.
