FX2N-4AD occupied I/O

4 posts in this topic

Hi: I read the manual of FX2N-4AD;"The FX2N-4AD occupies 8 points of I/O on the FX2N expansion bus. The 8 points can be allocated from either inputs or outputs". But I don't know how to assign it to occupy input or output? Is there any instruction to do this? Below is the configuration; 1. Main Unit: FX2N-32MT (16 input, 16 output) 2. Next to the FX2N main unit is FX2N-4DA 3. Next to the FX2N-4DA is FX2N-4AD Follwing such configuration; x0~x3 been occupied, I knew it because I tried it already, x4 is available. Can I the output be occupied? Thanks for your help.

It does not allocate addresses. It simply reduces the PLC's maximum count by the 8 points.

Unlike Q series, FX series PLC doesn't allocate IO address to SFM's. As crossbow told, it will just reduce the total IO points by 8.
