Online reading outputs on Fx1s

4 posts in this topic

Hi guys! I have some problem reading the outputs from my Fx1s into CitectSCADA. The connection is setup and it seems to work(the SCADA react when I take out the cable) but nothing happend with the tags. They are always false. As I understand M8121 is set when the PLC is ready to send and then i need to set M8122 to send, but M8121 is never set. I use the red programming cable and a USB to RS232 converter. Regards Johan

If you are using the SC-09 (red) cable you are also using the native CPU protocol. What are the settings in Citect (screenshot)??

Yes, I use the SC-09 cable. Is it not right then to use MELSFX2N (Melsec FX series general serial PtoP) as protocol? I have match all the port settings( SCADA, PC, Gx iec dev). Do i need to set D8120 in the PLC too? It feels like I find new things all the time that can be wrong.

Problem solved! It was about the protocol. I needed to set the protocol like above and then, for some reason, change to MELSECF in the I/O device settings. I don't know why i need to do it this way but it work and i'm happy whit that:) I don't need to do anything in the registers in the PLC. Just read the output.
