  1. Calculate Flow Using Pluse Input

Thank you so much for the advice and instruction. I will give it a go and let you know how it works out!! Cheers Chris
  2. Calculate Flow Using Pluse Input

Opps...sorry, I should have made myself more clear. The flow meter has a MAX frequency of 50 Hz....HA!! Yup, 50 cubic meters of liquid a sec sure is a lot.....HA! Chris
  3. Calculate Flow Using Pluse Input

Hello again guys! Once again I would like to pick your brains. I have a flow meter that sends a pulse for every cubic meter of liquid. The frequency of the flow meter specs at 50Hz so an input to a CP1H PLC should work. I was wondering if any of you guys have a function block or a piece of code written to obtain instantaneous flow. Thanks in advance!! Cheers Chris
  4. NS5 HMI Connection to CP1W-CIF41

Thanks for the reply Lostcontrol. I have it figured out now, and yes I had all those conditions that you mentioned satisfied. The problem was good old copy and paste. I pasted HMI code that I had written for a serial connection. I didn't erase all the serial points in the old HMI code and therefor the serial connection was still enabled on the NS. As soon as I turned off the serial connection, BANG, up it came. I rookie mistake I know, oh well, it keeps me humble......HA!! Again, thanks for the reply. Cheers Chris
  5. NS5 HMI Connection to CP1W-CIF41

Hello Everyone....I've been having a devil of a time trying to connect an Ethernet ready NS5 HMI to a CP1H with optional CP1W-CIF41 Ethernet board installed. I have both the HMI and the PLC connected with a VPN router locally and I have no problem pinging the two devices. I can connect with the PLC via Ethernet and I can download the graphics to the HMI via Ethernet using CX-Designer. I keep getting the connecting logo down at the bottom right hand corner when trying to connect the HMI to the PLC. The two IP address are HMI 10.200.49.11 and the PLC 10.200.49.10. Since the two devices are on the same subnet, I understand from asking that I do not need an IP conversation table. I'm not quite sure if I have the routing table setup correctly using CX Network Configuration tool. The CP1W-CIF41 is located in the second slot of the CP1H. Any advice anyone has to offer would be GREATLY appreciated. Cheers, Chris
  6. Hi PMCR...I download this code last night, but it says that my current CX cannot open the program. I am running CX 9.32. Does this have any bearing on why the code will not open? Cheers!
