  1. B&R PLC Model M264

Hello, M264 is a legacy product and is programmed with a software called PROSYS. You also need a device called BRKAOL5-1 to connect from PROSYS to the PLC. Please contact B&R technical support for more assistance. http://www.br-automation.com/cps/rde/xchg/...40_ENG_HTML.htm
  2. B&R Recipe Management

Hello, There are many ways of doing recipes. The most popular is with data objects. You can add them to the software tree in the project or create them at runtime with a library. You can also write and read data to/from csv or text files with FileIO library. Finally, you can store recipes in a variable in remanent or permanent memory. For many recipes, this is not a good idea. I personally like to write everything to a csv file. This way, you can also get it out of the PLC very easily.
  3. B&R Cycle Time Violation

Hello, If your ACOPOS drives are no Ethernet Powerlink, you need to synchronize TC1 with the EPL bus. This does not mean they have to run at the same speed. You can run EPL at 400 us. and TC#1 at 4 ms. Check what tasks are running in TC#1. Can any of them be moved to a lower task class? Use the Profiler, it is a great tool for this. Make sure to edit the configuration to record at least 10000 entries and select all check boxes. You can also configure it to automatically save the profile file on the compact flash when the system goes into service mode. This will tell you exactly what happened when the error occurred. If you need help, please contact B&R support at the link below. http://www.br-automation.com/cps/rde/xchg/...40_ENG_HTML.htm
  4. Free Software B&R

Hello, EX290 is not a PLC but an X2X bus controller for System 2003 product line. The PLC would be something like CP474 or CP476. To connect to the PLC, you need a straight RS232 cable and a program called PVI Transfer. You can download it for free here: http://www.br-automation.com/cps/rde/xchg/...10_ENG_HTML.htm You can use this program to download the logbook (error log) from the PLC. Automation Studio is used for development or maintenance. You only need if you are going to program the PLC. If you are sure the problem is with EX290, you need to look at the LEDs. They are described in the datasheet. http://www.br-automation.com/cps/rde/xchg/...29_ENG_HTML.htm EX290 has no programming of its own. If all else fails, please contact B&R technical support at the link below. http://www.br-automation.com/cps/rde/xchg/...40_ENG_HTML.htm
