6 posts in this topic

Dear All, I really appreciate in advance your help in this problem. This is my first project with Mitsubishi PLC. I am using GX Works 2 for programming. Hardware is FX2G-24M base unit + FX2n-16EX extension module. I already started a new program and download simple rung on PLC, put PLC in run mode, test it and working properly. the problem is that I do not know what is the address of inputs of extension module. I tried to complete and use X016 but no response in PLC. kindly advise what shall I do. Thanks

The first input on the extension should be x20 Rodney

Rodney is correct, and just to add info: If using extensions to a FX-Series PLC, you always start at the first available octet. E.g. stop @X15 -> Next octet = X20. Stop @X24 -> Next octet X30 and so on.

The FX3G hardware manual has many examples to show how this is done.

You can also use this tool to make your configuration: http://tools.mitsubishi-automation.com/fselection/ At System Overview you can see the addresses.
