7 posts in this topic

Hi Folks, I'm trying to download an application program to a 1746-L40B AB processor but everytime I try I get a measeage " Processor isn't reponding". I'm using a UCI converter. This program was written using an old version of RSLogix500. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What does RSLinx tell you? Has it made the connection?

It looks like RSLinx makes connection since I can see the driver, DH85 UIC and the Processor, but it only shows node 0, then it shows node 1, 2, 3, 4, no found. Then when I open RSLogix500 and try to download the application program I got the following message "Processor no responding". I suspect I may using the wrong cable between the UIC and the processor. I picked up this cable from Radio Shack.

Node 0 is your UIC. Do you have the offline file for SLC to check how the comm port is configured? The UIC only supports 19.2kb baud rate. If you don't need the program thats in the SLC , you can clear the memory and bring the SLC back to its default settings (19200 KB baud and node 1). See pdf The proper cable is a 1747-C13, see pdf.
