Motion Control Unit C200HW-MC402-UK vs C200HW-MC402-E

2 posts in this topic

Working with very old motion controller in a CS1G-H PLC rack. Have downloaded and studied the manual W903-E2-02 which refers to the C200HW-MC402-E unit with some notes in the appendix referring to upgrading from the C200HW-MC402-UK. Two questions:- 1. Can someone please post the older manual specifically for the C200HW-MC402-UK. 2. Customer has sent uploaded PLC program. The C200HW-MC402-UK is located in slot 05 Unit 0. BUT the I/O table shows an SIOU/C200H ASCII unit in slot 05. Appears that the MC402 uses this SIOU module type reference as I was unable to find a selection to add an MC402 to the I/O table. Is this correct? Many Thanks

I worked on one of these some time ago. I have the same manual that you have. If I remember correctly, Omron told me to use that manual. There is a section that explains the differences between the two models. Here is a screen shot of mine in a C200HG. The MC402-UK is in Slot 0. I don't beleive the I/O Table really cares what is as long as it knows it's an SIOU unit. I could be wrong but long ago Omron didn't even require an I/O Table although it could be registered if you chose to. There is a program in the MC402-UK. You'll need Trio Motion Technology's "Motion Perfect 2" to upload the program. Edited by IO_Rack
