TP270 and PROSAVE.

We have a TP270 with a failing screen (vertical lines). If I can locate a replacement will I be able to update the new one with PROSAVE? Are there any "Gotchas" Would a hardware repair be possible / could the screen items be changed? Anyone have any experience or recommendations? Thanks.

From memory either back up using Prosave or exchanging the touch screen is quite straightforward. Rodney

OK, thanks, I've done it with the older units OP17 I think but I never seem to get the same job twice.

The TP's are easier than the OP's they automatically go to transfer mode and the cable is standard RS232. Rodney

Thanks again. Do you do much Siemens HMI work? Conversion of program to newer HMIs or repairs? The cost for replacements for these units which are near "end of life" is horrendous.
