Schools don't seem to have good up to date PLC programs. I recommend you decide on a vendor and attend their training classes... Within an hour or two of Chicago are headquarters for Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric, tons of Siemens divisions, and up in Milwaukee is Rockwell. Taking a couple classes from the manufacturer will be cheaper than a college, and the information will be more up to date.

Lake County Community College and Elgin Community College both had PLC courses 6-7 years ago. You'd have to check their web sites and see if either still does. Other community colleges are likely to offer an entry level PLC course, too.

Kenneth, which brand? There are hundreds of PLCs and hundreds of options for education. Please be more specific!
