Posted 1 Aug 2014 I have a transmitter going to an Omron k3hd-x display. The transmitter has three wires (+,- and o/p) also the data sheet I was given for the transmitter is for a sick PBT.The display is powered from a 24vdc source in the panel. Out of the display we have two wires (o/p and-) these are going to terminals for the client along with a screen. so does that make this loop powered and suitable for the Q68ADI? Also am I correct in thinking If an instrument is 2 wire loop powered it doesn't matter where this loop power comes from? It can either come from the dcs/plc analogue input card or from a 24v psu in a panel? Thanks Thanks
Posted 8 Aug 2014 No issue you have to connect +24vdc And -24VDC to Q68ADI card. Supply required only for Analog card energies. Note that one thing only in hole circuit only 1 SMPS have to use. i.e., make sure +/- 24vdc from 1 power supply.
