Command PLC with PC, omron CPM2A

Hi, i am a student and i am doing a school project where i have to command OMRON CPM2A with my PC. Basically i have to activate an plc output with my PC by sending and message to plc. How can i do this with serial comunication? i did a lot of research and don´t get any results. PLS help me! srry for my english.

The CPM2 series PLCs have a slave protocol built in called Host Link. A PC can send commands using this serial protocol to the PLC to read and write data. There is a lot of information on this forum regarding Host Link, and many Omron manuals have all the details for this protocol.

Hi, i have another question, what type of cable i use to comunicate between pc and plc. Because my plc is sending information but i don´t receive nothing. cable i use: Edited by CrCe

That is not the correct cable pinout (your pinout looks like a PLC to PLC (or HMI) cable). This is the correct pinout: The drawing says that it is for a CJ, CS or CP1 PLC, but it is the same for any 9 pin Omron port.
