Mitsubishi E200 HMI to IDEC FC4A-C24R2

Hi, I am using the above combination which works well except I am having difficulty in synchronising the clocks. The help function is not very good on these HMIs (made by Beijer in Sweden) and does not even mention the method of setting the date/time. Setting the clock to terminal or controller in E-Designer's "Setup>Date/Time Format " does not seem to make any difference. If I set the source to terminal and specify a data register the HMI is sending the clock data to the PLC in Hex format which I suppose I could use to write into data registers on the PLC, but surely there must be a built in way of doing it without writing more code? Can anyone suggest a solution?
