My Vote is yes for the drives/motion section. Have hundreds of vfd's at work, any new info would be of help

I voted "YES" because I know all of us have met the industrial drives at some time and some where. The industrial drives are also the part of the automation. We can't avoid to face with them when we are trying to diaganose the malfuntioned system. PS. The name should be "Industrial Drives" to be included AC/DC/Servo and Stepper Drives.

I would vote yes for a Motion/drives forum as well (the main part of my work except PLCs). However, you should note that drives at least in my part of Europe are always related to as "frequency inverters" (edit: the ones I'm using that is - this thread seems to be concerned with a wider array of drives. "electric motor controller"?)... Edited by TERdON
