TP270 touch screen problem, screen freeze

Hi Got problems in an factory where we uses TP270 touch screen connected to an Siemens PLC using profibus. Few times ewery day the screen freeze and we need to switch power off and on again to reset. Alrady changed the panel to an demo panel from Siemens support, but still same problem. Anybody else experienced this problems ? any ideas is wery much appreaciated ! Best regards Johan

Hei Johan ! Problem is that there is not much one can access on a frozen panel. Does this happen when someone is operating the panel, or does it happen by itself ? If it is the latter, then I would look into problems with the attached PLC or possibly noise. Maybe you can make a test setup with the same PLC and Panel and then simulate it for a longer time. If the error doesnt appear on the test setup, then it does look it has something to do with the location.

thanks for your ideas about this problem. It happens by itself. I also found some info in another forum that sombody else got problem with wincc freeze due to comunication problems with the PLC. Best regards Johan
