I was wondering what is the name of the guidelines that you follow when doing electrical work in Australia to insure safety to occupants to buildings and operators using equipment

Australain Wiring Rules AS-3000 Machinery Safety AS4024... But there is another revision about to released adopting the European model os standards and will come in a number of parts... AS61508.

Thanks for the information, I am trying to familiarize myself with Australian standards so when I move there I should have no problem writing the electricians exam, now finding a job within the electrical controls field is another story. What type of manufacturing facilities are located around you and are they staffed internally or out sourced to agencies(head hunters).
