is it possible to upload directly to protool via prosave if so how and what cable is needed?

Prosave is only used to backup the project on the op panel , for safe keeping etc. It cannot be used anywere let alone Protool. As for the cable for programming the op 27 , look in the Corus op27 communication user's manual.

does this mean you need the original file to make any changes to the op screens.
