ppi protocol ( s7-200 plc )

Hi friends: i would like to comunicate a s7-200 plc with a pc to display some variables ( the pc aplicattion is writted in Vb6.0 ) but my problem is that i do not know ppi protocol to comunicate my aplicattion with the plc. does anybody know the portocol??? thank you very much for your help fordfiest@hotmail.com

I would look at buying an OPC server product that will communicate to it. Why waste the time reiventing the drivers. Siemens has an OPC server, and it's not really priced badly. Or you can look at Kepware or some other vendor who makes one for multiple protocols.
