PC to Melsec PLC Not talking!

Hi everyone, I have a PC XP os with a serial and usb ports, cable SC-O2, a usb to serial converter and software, Melsec A2N PLC, and nothing keeps happening! please can someone help. with my old computer Win 98 os, worked ok but had to use a 25 to 9 pin adaptor As you can see I am pretty dumb so if you have a solution please make it simple. Hi I found the same problem time ago with my new notebook. I suggest to use the SC09 cable converter connected between usb-9pn converter and plc port. I'm not sure but i think SC02 have differents pins connection about 5Vdc p.s. Bye Max
