I am Using A1 series Mitsubishi PLC & GX Developer 6.0 programming software. I want to take back up of Ladder program on CD. When I copy the prog on CD using Cd writer software NERO & try to open it with GX Developer , it gives a message that another instance of this is already open. Even if I close all instances it flashes the same msg. Can somebody help on this. Salil

You cannot open the PLC program when it is marked as read only. When you copy files to a CD, they are all marked read only , as the cd media is read only. if you copy a directory from a CD to the hard drive, the files on the hard drive get marked read only since they were on a read-only media. You need to have the program on a writable device (hard drive, floppy, usb flash drive) and all of the files and directories involved need to be marked read/write.
