FX2N with as-interface

2 posts in this topic

Hello Experts, Currently i'm working on a machine with an as-interface (for emergency-control). But the different slaves gave me all different bits back? I have an stop/start button who clearly sends the bits high or low (0 or 1) and I have an other slave who gives continue (1's and 0's) and if I switch it gives only a zero. What is wrong with the switches? I would like to have a normal high and low bit for on and off. Greets

Perhaps the one giving the 1s and 0s is a safety rated device? I know that the AS-I Safe devices have a sequencing key that verifies they are communicating, but perhaps this is something another vendor tried to do to prove communications? I would just code it with a timer looking for it to remain off for a period of time...
