comment storage and conversion

I am trying to import some GPPA files into GX, I cannot get the comments to tranfer. I tried to open the comment files as text with no help. Any ideas?? Also is there a way to store comments on the PLC? I have heard of that but have no idea where to start.

Which PLC? In the FX series you can reserve some space in the processor for comments, but this comes directly off maximum program size. As for the import of the comments, I have never tried it from a GPPA file, justfrom a DOS text file. Is there a chance you can open the project in the old software and export to a delimited file? I've also never seen GPPA so I can't help there...

You can store your comments in the A Series CPU. You will need to setup the PLC parameters in the A Series CPU to allow storage of the comments.
