Resetting S5?

Hi Could any one help me? i need to reset the ram on an s5 plc from the from the front cover, can anybody give me a procedure for doing so? Thx for any help Mark

If you reset the cpu you will louse your plc program. Then you will need a step5 software to install the program. If you tell us your problem maybe we can help you.

Hi! Well I had reset a PLC S5-115U for few days ago. The process is the folowing: -Remove the battery. -Put the RN/ST switch in ST position (Stop) -Place again the battery. -Keep push the NR/RE/OR switch in OR position. -Without free this switch, move RN/ST switch for 2 successive times and leave in RN position. -Free NR/RE/OR switch in RE position. When you remove the battery, the CPU lose the RAM memory. I secured load the program again following this process. Regards!
