Hello All. I'm Modicon new User. I have worked on AB PLC5 and SLC5 previously. Now I working on a modification project using Modicon PLC TSX Micro 3721001 and Panelview Telemecanique MAGELIS - XBT P021010. And Using PL7 Micro Software. I've connected to the TSX Micro PLC and found ladder programs. My Question is as below- 1. What is diffrence transfer program and data, compare with save file in the file menu ? 2. Can I modify the program online and after i have changed can I just save it or transfer program from PLC to PC? Or I have to change the program offline and then transfer it from PC to PLC? 3) How can I connect to Panelview Magelis XBT P021010 using PC and how can I program to talk to TSX Micro PLC 3721001? 4) How can I find the value or bit from the Magelis XBT P021010 send to TSX Micro PLC and what is the word or bit used in the PLC ? 5) In this TSX Micro PLC in the slot 1 have a output card (TSX DSZ 32T2), Slot 2 (TSX DEZ 12D2) and Slot 3 TSX DSZ 32T2). Can I still add input and output card in the TSX Micro PLC and if I can how can I do configure it ? 6) I need some information to use PL7 software, where I can download or can someone send it to me please ? 1. Save makes a copy on disk, where transfer puts the program in the PLC. 2. You can do online edits. You should go to www.telemecanique.com and download the manuals for PL7. It will walk you through it. 3. Magelis programming cable, XBTZ915. 4. Magelis uses a notify area to tell the PLC what screen it's on and other data, configured in the XBT-L100 programming software for the screen. But you can access any address in the PLC from the screen, so your question is a bit vague. You need to see the program in the Magelis to see what addresses are referenced in the screens. Cable PLC to Magelis is XBT-Z968. 5. The first card you mention takes two slots. The PLC is allocated in half slots. The third card you mention also takes 2 slots. If you need to add more I/O, you need to add an TSXRKZ02, which will give you two more full (4 half) slots. It's configured in the PL7 software under Hardware configuration. 6. Get the manuals from www.telemecanique.com. They also used to have an online tutorial for the PL7 software and Premium PLCs. Hope this helps.
