Looking for dual ethernet driver HMI

6 posts in this topic

I'm currently searching for a touchscreen HMI which supports both Omron (FINS) ethernet and Modbus TCP/IP at the same time (dual driver). It would be a alternative for a SCADA program running on a Windows machine, so at least 8" and in colour. So far I've found Exor panels to be able to do this by standard, they already support multiple ethernet drivers and the Omron driver is currently being developed. Anyone has other alternatives ? I'd appreciate it . Edited by PdL

Mitsubishi's E-Series operator interfaces support multiple protocols at the same time, but I think you can only load one protocol per port, so one rs232, one rs422/rs485, and one Ethenet. Might be worth asking their tech support guys.

The alternative solution would be using a ICP DAS USA TPD series Touchpads. Some of the TPDs support Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU at the same time. While the Modbus TCP is being used for the Modbus, the RTU side can be used with a converter. I also found the converter at the below link. http://www.chipkin.com/solutions/?dfrom=Modbus+RTU&dto=Omron+FINS And also ICP DAS USA, TPD series TouchPads: http://www.icpdas-usa.com/touchpad_controller.html?r=Kaan

That post is over 10 years old. I don't think anyone is waiting for your answer.

Red Lion's G3 series has options with two Ethernet ports. It has been some time, but I believe they can communicate via different protocols, in that the second port option was designed specifically for IT and was considered to be separate from the manufacturing floor. I would certainly verify this with Red Lion, but I believe it is an option for you. http://www.redlion.net/hmi-operator-panels/g3-series
