Posted 10 Jan 2003 Cognex Support kicks BUTT. I just called there pre-sales support today questioning there camera res. (standard 640x480). I was very impressed with the lady that helped me. I've used SEVERAL cognex insight systems (stane alone). I am personally very happy with them. Easy to use. Looks a little weird setting up a vision system on a spread sheet, but once you learn it's not bad. If my local rep is not around, I've always called the main number: (508) 650-3100 And got my answer. I can't remember for sure, but we did paid for that support and training package when we bought our first cognex insight, (we got a coffee mug and a tutorial cd-rom to watch on the computer). But I can't say I've ever been asked to prove we have support, unless they look my name up in there computer system. Anyway, support is a 10 out of 10 here!
