Has anyone had a problem with the constant firmware changes from AD and your program not working?  If so what has been your best solution?

The PLC is a DoMore! Brx and it seems like there's a firmware update every other week.  The problem is our PLC programmer builds his program on a version of firmware and then we try to load it on a plc with a different firmware version and the program doesn't work like it's supposed to.  AD says they can't guarantee us the same firmware version when we order PLC's from them.

in that case i can see following options

1 - use your own firmware version (assuming it is possible to get tool and firmware from the product vendor)

2 - use different product. when something is constantly giving you grief, why not try alternative? And if that does not pan out, consider different brand.

Sounds like your programmer needs to up his firmware and his game.

Do-more BRX firmware changes only a few times per year.  If you are concerned about it, go over to https://forum.hosteng.com and talk to the guys that make it.  They love talking to their customers.

For the record, here are the dates of the last few firmware changes.  Most coincide with new hardware releases.  https://hosteng.com/HW-Products/DM1/BX-DM1.htm#Firmware
