Error when downloading hardware configuration

Hi guys,

I am beginner to siemens.

We have 5 cranes ( each has its own PLC) and 1 Main PLC.

I have downloaded a program.

After i downloaded the program, 4 of the crane CPU have error.

The error says " I/O access error, reading". 

and when i tried to download hardware configuration, another error comes up and it says "The device name 'PN-IO' is not unique.

Please help me with this issue..

Hi PaulKim1003.

This error regarding device name in use suggests 2 or more DP-slaves have the same name.

You can check this by checking your offline configurations- if you have not altered the program; maybe there is a change point somewhere in the field.

Hi,

this error meaning that CPU can't read data from IM due to 

1-Conflict address of IM "check dip switch on each IM "interface module"

2-Plug of profibus has a problem on cable & shield & wire loose

may be the IM which working was the start of profibus DP master and this Out cable from plug has a problem so others not work
