Programming And Monitoring Slc500

I have never programmed with AB(normaly Siemens) before but need to do a simple change to my customers machine's plc. What cable do I need to programme from my laptop to the plc. I also need to monitor the programme is it possible to use this cable as I have a HMI conected to the PLC. This is not a AB HMI. I would be grateful for any help.

The cableto program de SLC-500 is: 2 --------------- 3 3---------------- 2 5---------------- 5 I don´t tell you what is the cable for HMI because I don´t know HMIs of other manufactures. Good Look.

Which Allen Bradley SLC500 processor is being used. Without this information its pure guess work as the different processors use a variety of leads, convertors and protocols. Edited 29 Dec 2002 by chrisbramall
