Posted 14 Feb 2019 Hi, I'm a newbie on Mitsubishi PLC, but I succeeded now (at last), to communicate over SLMP-TCP/IP to a real iQ-R. So my question, is there any possibility to use the same kind of communication when the plc project runs on a GxWorks3 simulator? I tried to use the local host, but without success. The client sw is a piece of code that runs on a PC. The reason why I'm asking, I want to have a tool to run table script tests easily either on a real iQ-R or on a simulator. Posted 15 Feb 2019 I am pretty sure (not 100% though) that the simulator will not work with SLMP. I think you need the iQ-R PLC for test purposes.
Posted 15 Feb 2019 Ok and thank you. Table tests over SLMP works well and it's manageable.
Posted 25 Feb 2019 Another solution is to use MX components for the comms instead of SLMP. With this you can communicate with all Mitsubishi hardware and Simulators. https://eu3a.mitsubishielectric.com/fa/en/products/cnt/plceng/items/mx_components/
