Posted 14 Jan 2019 Hi all, Working in GXWorks2 with an FX2 CPU. When i powercycle the PLC, the plc stays in STOP. With the software i can put him into RUN, also found an setting to give RUN signal by an digital input. How can i configure the PLC to always go into RUN after power up / power cycle? Posted 14 Jan 2019 If you have a PLC program and acceptable parameters downloaded; your PLC should go to run mode after a power cycle. Check that your RUN/PAUSE signal in your PLC Parameter is switched off. Regards Daniel
Posted 15 Jan 2019 In The PLC parameters is the " RUN terminal input" configured as "none" (other choices are only inputs from X000-X017) Still when i power cycle the CPU, it stays in STOP and not going into RUN automaticly
Posted 16 Jan 2019 Did you put the physical switch on the PLC to "RUN"??? The input you are referring to is optional and should only be used if you by any chance want to deactivate the PLC with a physical input signal.
Posted 21 Jan 2019 Thank all for help. kaare_t no the switch was at run. I had configured the run terminal input, but forgot to check the right box when downloading to PLC. Now its working, thank you all!
Posted 21 Jan 2019 I've never used the run terminal ever. I have seen it used on a lot of old programs where the e stops were tied to it. That method has long since been illegal.
Posted 21 Jan 2019 That's true, i have alsof never used it. In my opinion an useless option. Maybe in old programs indeed as you described. The setting was wrong, and downloaded wrong config once, after change it back in software, forgot to download new config. Nevermind! Works ok now!
