Multiple PLCs to a single robot

Is it possible to connect multiple masters (PLC) to a single slave (robot) 

in this case we have and L16ER which allows 4 ethernet ports that are all used and another L36ERMS which allows 48 i believe. The L16 is connected to the robot currently but will need communication with the L36ERMS as well. Is this possible?

Could you not write the data from the extra PL'C's into the currently used PLC (using passive and consumed tags) then just port these into the slaves data area?

Which robot?

Kuka KRC4 controllers using EThernetIP can act as a alave for up to five masters (and still be a master itself)
