Micro820 Clear Fault Code on Startup

4 posts in this topic

Hi.

I have a Micro820 mounted in an Exd box in a Zone 1 haz area.

Had an issue with the PLC not booting up and subsequent polling through Connected Components Workbench revealed an error due to noisy environment.

Is there anyway we can set the 820 to ignore or bypass this error code (or automatically clear it) on startup so it powers up and runs as usual?

The supply can get noisy at times (refinery application) and with no remote comms access to the 820, the need to open up the box in the hot zone to connect a laptop and clear the fault isn't ideal.

Any thoughts on how we can get around this?

Cheers.

How about fixing the noise? Anything else is covering up a real issue!

If you can get them to put their hand in their pocket to filter the power supply then you're doing better then us.

With enough downtime, you can force their hand. I know, easier said than done.
