Extended File Registers

Hi,

We have extended file registers ZR0 – ZR128000 currently in PLC (IQR CPU R32).

There is vital information in this area.

We need to change the file size of this to ZR0 – ZR500000 in parameters. When we do so, vital data is lost. There is 600k spare in the CPU/SRAM to accommodate the extra registers. Changing the size using the simulator works fine.

Is there a procedure for changing the ZR Register File size and maintaining the current data?

Just read them with GX Works 3. Change the File and write them back.

In GX IEC Developer there is the option in ‘Device Edit’ to export any range of MELSEC variables to a .csv file.

You could do this (export)..make the parameter change- then write back in?
