Visual Basic with PLC Direct

Ok I have done quite a lot of Visual basic on omron. I am wondering how hard it is to communicate with a direct PLC. and if someone has an example for rs 232 or ethernet Thanks your friendly neibourhood KinK

The PC-KEPPLC software package form AutomationDirect should provide the communication interface you need. AutomatedSolutions has AxctiveX packages for serial and for Ethernet communications which, even though they cost more at the lowest end, are not limited as to number of nodes. If you wish to 'roll your own' serial communication package download the DA-DNET-M manual from AutomationDirect. Another source is Host Engineering (www.hosteng.com) SDK for Ethernet communications to the AutomationDirect ECOM modules.
