Whilst trying to transfer a program from GX Dev (FX) to a FX0 unit, I get an error message referring to 'Comms port not recognised' - How do I configure the comms port settings? Appreciate any help,thanks.

Tell us more: - what cable you use - what software you use - what port of your PC you are connecting to (USB or RS232, if RS232 which one?) - if you are usign RS232, are you sure no other program is using it? - if your port is not Com1, did you change online settings to use port you have? - are you using USB/RS232 adapter? - etc.

In the Online pulldown menu, pick Tranfer Setup. Check the settings for the serial comms, make sure it points to the right serial port. If your version matches mine (7.0 or 8.12) there will be a button on the right side of the Transfer Setup window that says CONNECTION TEST. Set the port correctly and hit this button, see if you have the right settings.
