PLC: A2US CPU communication with PC

3 posts in this topic

We have a Injection Molding Machine from Mitsubishi with a A2US-S30 CPU. I would like to establish a communication of this PLC with a  PC. The CPU has a 25 Pin Dsub connector. How can I achieve this? This is an old machine and we don't have any manual for this PLC. Somehow I could find an instructions manual on the internet but this manual does not contain information regarding PC communication or supported communication modules.

I have never worked with this Mitsubishi A series PLC.

Please suggest a way to start and share any manual which I could refer to. Thanks!

You need a programming cable SC-09 cable. You could use MX Components for the comms.

But as this is a PLC which is no longer available I would look into upgrading it to a system Q. Which is pretty easy to do.

I would suggest you get a backup of the program without delay.

The plc is old with a battery to hold the program. If the plc or battery fails it will be dead in the water.

Gx developer will retrieve the program and as said, an sc 09 cable will connect.
